The City of Burlington’s Community Justice Center (BCJC) is proposing to use US Dept. of Justice “Justice Assistance Grant” (JAG) Funds (in the amount of about $47,000) funds to continue operating its Conflict Assistance Program (CAP).

The CAP addresses conflict for Burlington-area residents by providing mediation, conflict coaching, and conflict skills workshops that equip persons involved in conflict with the skills necessary to find resolution through a constructive, skillful, and restorative approach. With JAG funding over the next four years, the part-time CAP coordinator will be funded to administer the CAP and expand services and training with translation services and stipends to improve access for marginalized populations.
